News Tidbits: Janet Jackson, Chris Brown, and T-Boz

It has been confirmed that Janet Jackson is in the line-up to perform for the 09′ American Music Awards. She will be perfoming an 8 minute medley that will be opening the awards. I guess she’s topping her awesome MTV opener… I can’t wait!

Besides Chris Brown appearing on the Wendy Williams Show this coming friday, Chris has appeared on 106 & park to hit the couch to talk with Rocsi about his upcoming album, How he’s dealing with the situation with Rihanna, what he learned from it, and what he thinks his fans reactions are. Show will air tonight 11/12 at 6pm on BET.

T-Boz from the group TLC was another celeb who became the culprit of swine flu. If you remembered on last week, I reported that Shawn from Boyz II Men had swine flu and had to miss out on the Soul Train Awards. T-Boz recently recovered from a brain tumor, and we all know her battle with sickle cell. The swine flu was just another hurdle she had to climb.

My daughter and I had sore throats that lasted about three days, so we went to see an ear, nose and throat specialist,” Watkins explained to reporters.

She continued: “After examining us, he told me my daughter had the flu – and I had swine flu… I made arrangements right away for my daughter to stay with my mom… I had to stay in the house and away from everyone.”

“It hit me really hard,” said T-Boz. “…I had a bad cough, and my ear was infected too. I got up to go to the bathroom and became winded.

I am glad she is doing much better.
